L3Harris isย seeking aย Supervisor, Quality Managementย to work at our Orange, VA location.

This role supervises exempt and/or non-exempt employees. Communicates with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures. Adjusts basic procedures and processes. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results. Understands basic supervisory approaches and has practical knowledge of job area. Is responsible for fostering an environment focused on personal development for direct reports.

Essential Functions:ย 

The Quality Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leadership by guiding teams to ensure adherence to quality standards, fostering professional development, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Drives program success and achieves customer satisfaction through diligent oversight, effective communication, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring both product excellence and team advancement within the organizational framework.
  • Oversees exempt/non-exempt staff, directing daily tasks and productivity, and making operational decisions.
  • Contributes to decisions on hiring, promotions, performance, discipline, and compensation for their team and reports to a Senior Supervisor or higher.
  • Communication with internal and external parties, including customers and vendors.
  • Makesย routine adjustments to methods and processes to resolve problems, typically within the immediate job area or team. Solutions are found by applying past experience, standard procedures, and basic analysis.
  • Oversee and drive team to meet specific operational goals at the program and site level.
  • Delegate, where applicable, tasks to achieve targets and service standards without direct budget or Profit & Loss responsibility, but may oversee daily budget aspects like staff overtime.
  • Nurtureย talent through mentoring, providing feedback, setting goals, offering development opportunities, and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant Qualityย experience.ย In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8ย years of prior related Quality experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:ย 

  • Experience collaborating within a Microsoft 365 environment, with proficiency in the included applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Direct leadership/supervisory experience.ย 
  • Project Management experience.
  • Supplier/Customer Support experience.
  • Regulatory & Auditing (AS9100) in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $55,000 - $102,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
