Mark Twain Behavioral Health (MTBH) is a private not-for-profit Certified Community Behavioral Health Organization serving Northeast Missouri since 1975 with a wide variety of outpatient services.  We strive to treat the whole person by promoting wellness as individuals work toward their personal goals of achieving a satisfying, productive and healthy lifestyle.


Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist for our Kirksville, Missouri office.  This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits.  We offer a supportive culture of appreciation and a strong emphasis on the health and well-being of our team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Facilitate benefit enrollment and account opening
  • Provide support to employees via individual and group communications
  • Provide benefit changes for monthly payroll
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives as requested
  • Participate in Health & Safety Initiatives as requested
  • Assist with Health Plan and Supplemental Benefits Open Enrollments
  • Complete Timesheet reviews for Recovery Technicians
  • Provide employee training as indicated
  • Perform compliance duties
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Provide support for coordination of marketing materials to the community as assigned by Director of Marketing and Community Development
  • Assist with social media management as requested
  • Represent agency publicly at community events as assigned
  • Create department materials for events and communications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or closely related field with at least two (2) years full-time professional experience

OR

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Human Resources 
  • Certification in Human Resources preferred
