Job description

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Baseball Coach/Dorm Director


START DATE: June 10th, 2026


CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger College/Athletics


GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assist Head Coach with all aspects of coaching and help to manage the Ranger College Baseball Program. Help recruit an assigned number of student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned. Additionally, a dorm director is responsible for overseeing daily residential operations, including check-in/check-out processes, facility inspections, and addressing student housing concerns. This role fosters a safe, engaging living environment by ensuring compliance with college policies and housing regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred

Pitching Coach preferred; Baseball coaching experience at community college level or higher, preferred
Help in recruitment of highly skilled baseball student athletes
Understand student athletes welfare
Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures



SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong organizational skills required
Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting
Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits


ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
