Job description

Assistant Baseball Coach - Temporary, Seasonal Assignment

Priority Application Deadline: August 2, 2026. Position will remain open until filled.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Assist the Head Baseball Coach in all aspects of coaching the women’s basketball team and instructing team members in the knowledge of the sport for the 2026-27 season. Must be dependable, able to travel, communicate effectively, exercise initiative, poise and good judgment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of prior coaching experience at the competitive club or high school level or above
  • Ability to attend practices Monday-Friday 3 pm – 5 pm and related meetings.
  • Ability to travel to competitions as competition schedule requires.
  • Must be dependable, able to communicate effectively, exercise initiative, poise, and good judgement.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Performance on a collegiate level

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS

This is a temporary, part-time position and not eligible for participation in District health and welfare programs.

Compensation for assistant coaches is based on experience, with a range of $5,440.05-$6,400.02/season during the in-season and recruitment stipend eligibility at 50% during the off-season.
