JOB SUMMARY

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Catalyst Physician Group, you'll be a vital part of our team, helping our communities thrive by providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations. You will see approx. 15-25 patients per day and have in office support as well as Catalyst support teams including 24/7 care team support, referral coordinators and more. We're a purpose-driven organization, passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our patients and providers. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functions independently to perform a broad range of medical services including, but not limited to the following:

  • Providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery
  • Patient assessment
  • Age appropriate history and physical
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patients specific needs
  • Annual exams
  • Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
  • Documenting encounters in the Athena EMR


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Texas license and certification
  • Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
  • Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Competent with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years related experience preferably in an Internal Medicine or Primary Care outpatient setting
  • Athena EMR experience
