Description

Experts in the art of hospitality, Hotel 43 and the Block22 Companies create memorable experiences. We are a destination for experiences beyond the ordinary, the heart of downtown Boise. As a front desk agent at Hotel 43, you'll deliver personalized service with poise and professionalism, setting the tone for a seamless and elevated guest experience. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Answer property questions; provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities, rooms, restaurants, and directions.
  • Performs all front desk duties including check-in, check-out, room assignments, and guest key issue.
  • Verify charges, collect payment and post to the corresponding guest folio in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Assist in the coordination and support of other departments as necessary.
  • Respond to and resolve guest complaints, creatively solve problems, anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
  • Create, change, and understand guest & group reservations.
  • Maintain the appearance and operations of the front desk, lobby, and gift shop.
  • Attend periodic department trainings & meetings.
  • Complete all duties in accordance with property standards and adhere to all company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
  • Provide genuine hospitality - engage with guests, create experiences, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Ability to problem solve & multi-task
  • Ability to work well independently, & as part of a team
  • Competent level of IT proficiency 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be available on weekends & holidays
  • Previous experience in customer service is a plus

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of standing at front desk and working on a computer. 

Ability to lift, carry and manipulate various items (ex: luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds
