Job Summary

The Communications Assistant is responsible for the creation of content for Wonders' internal and external marketing materials, newsletters, website revision and upkeep, and social media posts.

The Communications Assistant must be an excellent communicator with outstanding attention to detail and consistent brand messaging. This position will work in collaboration with Wonders administrative team members to develop communications strategy and implement goals of the Wonders Strategic Plan.

Essential Functions

Communications

  • Help implement internal and external communication strategies and projects
  • Monthly Program Newsletter - formatting and editing for all programs
  • Monthly Community Newsletter - create and distribute to mailing list
  • Family Hand Book - update, edit, design, publication
  • Staff newsletter - Compile, edit, and distribute monthly all staff newsletter
  • Assist with grant proposals and program proposals

Marketing

  • Create internal/external content and collateral for all programs, including:
    • Flyers
    • Banners
    • Shirt
    • Advertisements
    • Social Media + Websites
  • Website Design + Layout
    • Design upkeep/revision
    • Layout upkeep/revision

General

  • Work with consultants to produce brochures and other relevant materials
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
