Job description

Jolt Credit Union is asking members for help on our volunteer committees. We're passionate about keeping our credit union member-focused and we go ALL IN with everything we do! Any professional background in accounting, finance, banking, management, marketing, public relations, nonprofits, or education is preferred for the positions we have available. Although these positions are not compensated, there are benefits like industry specific training at conferences, annual holiday party, direct interaction with Jolt's leadership team, and the opportunity to periodically attend board meetings (plus some cool Jolt swag along the way!). There are also opportunities to help represent Jolt at golf outings and other community events we sponsor. Committee members may not have a fiduciary relationship with Jolt, meaning they cannot be an employee, vendor, agent, or independent contractor that receives compensation from Jolt. All committees are appointed by the Jolt Board of Directors for 1-year terms and must be members in good standing.
Supervisory Committee
A standing volunteer committee that meets Monthly , typically during a weekday afternoon at Jolt's main offices in Saginaw. Responsibilities include arranging for audits & account verifications, addressing member complaints, meeting with Jolt management, reviewing new loans & loan charge off details. Committee consists of 5 volunteer members. Approximate time commitment is 2 hours per month.
Asset Liability Management (ALM) Committee
A standing committee that attends a board meeting once per quarter , typically held on a Tuesday or Thursday morning at Jolt's main offices in Saginaw. Responsibilities include review of credit union ALM reports & financial statements, may attend periodic meetings, provide input for Jolt product & pricing decisions, and review of annual budget reports. Committee consists of both volunteers and management. Approximate time commitment is 3 hours per quarter.
