SUMMARY
Wiz is looking for an experienced Commissions Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will play a critical part in the global commissions accounting process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and supporting our fast-growing revenue engine. We are open to remote candidates, with a strong preference for those based on the East Coast.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Administer the end-to-end commissions accounting process, including monthly accruals, capitalization, amortization, and reporting in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP
  • Perform the calculation, validation, and reporting of commissions and variable compensation across the global sales organization
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Payroll, FP&A, and Revenue Accounting to ensure accurate and timely commission payouts
  • Assist in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of commission systems (e.g., Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ or similar)
  • Support audits by providing documentation and analysis related to commissions and bonus accruals
  • Ensure adherence to controls and SOX compliance for commissions-related processes
  • Understand accounting guidance for new compensation plans, SPIFFs, or plan design changes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting and/or commissions operations experience, or similar
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606), commission capitalization, and SaaS industry practices - Must
  • Experience working in a high-growth tech or SaaS company - Must
  • Experience with NetSuite and a commission platform such as Spiff, Xactly, or CaptivateIQ - Strong Advantage
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Office/Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
  • High standards of accuracy and precision

Compensation + Benefits
Compensation for this full-time position includes base salary + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
