Job description

Amnex Solutions is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to secure capacity across OTR freight. This role is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing carriers to ensure consistent, cost-effective coverage across nationwide lanes.
You'll work directly with brokerage and operations teams to cover loads, build carrier relationships, and solve problems in real time.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Source and secure capacity for:
    • Full Truckload (FTL)
    • Less-Than-Truckload (LTL)
    • Dry Van
    • Reefer
    • Flatbed
    • Specialized/Open Deck Freight
  • Build and manage a reliable carrier network (not just one-off bookings)
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to achieve margin targets
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve issues such as missed pickups, service failures, delays, and breakdowns
  • Work closely with brokerage and operations teams to ensure smooth execution from pickup through delivery
  • Use tools such as Carrier411, RMIS, and Turvo to vet and manage carriers
  • Develop repeat carrier relationships on core lanes to improve service consistency and reduce spot market exposure
  • Assist with after-hours issues when necessary
Core Skills
  • Strong understanding of:
    • OTR freight markets
    • Truckload and LTL operations
    • Equipment types including dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, and specialized trailers
  • Ability to move quickly while maintaining sound decision-making
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • Clear communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams
  • Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
Experience
  • 1–3+ years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch, freight brokerage, or transportation operations
  • Existing carrier relationships are a plus
  • Experience with truckload and LTL freight preferred
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and carrier compliance platforms preferred
