Job description

Manager, Strategy & Business Development
Department: RS-492 - COO - Commercial & Corporate Strategy
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: US - New York
Description
Joining DAZN as Manager, Strategy & Business Development puts you at the center of one of the most dynamic sports media companies in the world. You'll work alongside senior strategy leaders on DAZN's North America expansion-supporting rights negotiations, building financial models, and helping develop the commercial strategies that shape our growth. This is an ideal role for an analytically rigorous, commercially curious thinker who wants real ownership over meaningful work in a fast-moving environment. You'll get direct exposure to executive decision-making and contribute to how we identify and unlock new sources of value across regions and platforms.
As Manager, Strategy & Business Development, you will support DAZN's commercial strategy across our U.S. sports portfolio, with a particular focus on our expansion into the regional sports space. You will play a hands-on role across financial modelling, deal analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional execution. You'll help build the materials, models, and analyses that inform high-stakes commercial decisions-and increasingly take ownership of discrete workstreams. If you're analytical and entrepreneurial with a passion for media and sport, this is a unique opportunity to grow into a senior commercial role at a global disruptor.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000
This role will be based in our New York office.
As part of our recruitment process, we may use automated or AI-supported tools to assist with application review and screening. These tools are used to support, not replace, human decision-making. Final hiring decisions are always made by our hiring team.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Support strategy and commercial analysis across DAZN's U.S. regional sports business
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate rights opportunities, deal economics, and business performance
  • Conduct pricing and packaging analyses and assist in developing recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Track and report on business performance, identifying trends and surfacing areas for cross-functional improvement
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for rightsholders, partners, and external negotiations
  • Support development of executive and board-level presentations
  • Contribute to strategic and financial assessment of new rights opportunities, including deal term analysis and onboarding support
  • Work with product and other cross-functional teams to help define roadmap priorities based on commercial inputs
  • Assist in evaluating M&A and partnership opportunities, including initial due diligence and deal structuring support
  • Monitor emerging trends in the sports media and streaming landscape and synthesize insights for internal use

What You'll Bring:
  • 3-6 years of experience in a Tier 1 Strategy Consulting firm, Investment Banking, or in-house Strategy/Corporate Development team
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, including financial modelling and data analysis
  • Experience with strategic analytical frameworks, including market analysis, scenario planning, financial forecasting, and go-to-market assessments
  • Ability to distill complex data into clear, concise insights and communicate effectively across departments and functions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort operating in cross-functional environments
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • An interest in and understanding of the sports and broader media industries

Benefits
Benefits include access to DAZN, up to 15 days of paid time off and 9 days of annual leave, health benefits (including dental & eye care) and a generous sick time package as well as short and long-term disability covering, parental leave offering, personal insurances, such as basic life term and personal accident and access to a 401(k) retirement plan. You'll also find a family friendly community, learning and development resources, opportunity for flexible working, and access to our internal speaker series and events.
