TT Strap Associate - 3rdShift

Noise, Vibration, and Harshness Division

Engineered Materials Group

Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications.  We pride ourselves in differentiating from our competitors by providing high technology solutions and the highest quality products.  Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Follows all manufacturing instructions and print requirements for the production of components in TT Strap 

  • Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product

  • Completes all quality related inspection requirements 

  • Ensures all equipment and materials used to perform job functions are compliant to procedures 

  • Suggest and participate in the implementation of process improvements and scrap reduction activities 

  • Performs all required preventative maintenance activities   

  • Actively participates in LEAN projects and activities 

  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures

  • Responsible for the proper storage and disposition of hazardous waste

  • Other assignments as required 

Qualifications 

  • Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork 

  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed 

  • Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required 

  • Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook 

  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision 

  • Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (30% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar work environment

  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred
