What is a commission remote appointment setter?

A Commission Remote Appointment Setter is a professional who works remotely to contact potential clients or leads and schedule appointments for a business, typically in sales or service industries. Their pay is usually based on commission, meaning they earn money for each successful appointment set rather than a fixed salary. They use phone calls, emails, or other communication methods to reach prospects and coordinate meetings between the prospect and a salesperson or consultant. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and sales skills, as well as the ability to work independently from home. It is popular in industries like real estate, insurance, and business services.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a commission remote appointment setter?

To thrive as a Commission Remote Appointment Setter, you need strong communication skills, persuasive abilities, and a basic understanding of sales principles, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, online scheduling tools, and outbound calling platforms is typically required. Self-motivation, resilience, and active listening set top performers apart in this role. These skills are crucial for consistently generating qualified leads and securing appointments, which directly impact sales success and commission earnings.

How does a commission remote appointment setter typically coordinate with the sales team to ensure successful follow-up on scheduled appointments?

As a Commission Remote Appointment Setter, you will regularly communicate with the sales team to relay important details about each scheduled appointment, such as client needs and expectations. This often involves updating shared calendars or CRM systems, providing notes on interactions, and participating in brief check-in meetings to align on priorities. Effective collaboration ensures that sales representatives are well-prepared, increasing the likelihood of successful conversions and maximizing your earning potential. Being proactive and detail-oriented in your communication with the team is key to excelling in this role.

Job description

Full-Time | Remote | Base Pay + Performance Commission

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and persistent Appointment Setter to manage, nurture, and convert incoming leads for the medical aesthetic practices we support.

This is not a cold-calling position. You will work primarily with inbound leads who have already expressed interest in services offered by our clients. Your responsibility is to build rapport, answer initial questions, consistently follow up, overcome basic objections, and ultimately convert qualified leads into scheduled consultations.

Our clients may generate 100-150+ new leads per month, and not every lead books after the first conversation. Some leads may require several days or even several weeks of consistent nurturing before they are ready to schedule.

Consistency wins. The strongest performers understand that successful appointment setting is about responsiveness, relationship-building, organization, and disciplined follow-up.

Compensation

This position includes:

  • Full-time base compensation
  • $35 commission for every qualified appointment successfully scheduled and secured
  • Uncapped appointment-setting commission
  • The more qualified consultations you successfully schedule, the more you can earn

This is a performance-driven position designed to reward team members who consistently convert opportunities into appointments.

What You'll DoLead Management & Conversion
  • Manage incoming leads for assigned medical aesthetic practices, each account typically earns 100-150 new warm leads (opted in ) each month.
  • Respond quickly to new inquiries through phone, text, email, and CRM communication
  • Engage leads in professional, conversational communication
  • Determine the lead's interests, needs, concerns, and readiness to schedule
  • Educate prospective patients at a high level about available services
  • Convert qualified leads into scheduled consultations
  • Obtain required information to properly secure appointments
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads who are not ready to book immediately
  • Re-engage leads who previously stopped responding
  • Follow established lead-nurturing sequences while knowing when personalized outreach is necessary
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of active opportunities rather than focusing only on brand-new leads
  • Achieve KPI goals monthly.
CRM & GoHighLevel

You will work primarily within GoHighLevel (GHL) to manage leads and communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring incoming leads
  • Managing lead conversations
  • Updating lead stages and statuses
  • Maintaining accurate notes
  • Scheduling consultations
  • Managing follow-up tasks
  • Tracking contact attempts
  • Monitoring automated nurture sequences
  • Identifying leads requiring personal intervention
  • Ensuring no qualified lead falls through the cracks

GoHighLevel training will be provided. Previous GHL experience is a plus but not required.

Patient Communication

You will communicate with prospective medical spa patients interested in treatments and services that may include:

  • Botox and other neuromodulators
  • Dermal fillers
  • Facial balancing
  • Laser treatments
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Medical-grade skincare
  • Body treatments
  • Weight management
  • Peptides
  • Hormone and wellness services
  • Other aesthetic and wellness treatments

You are not responsible for providing medical advice or determining whether someone is medically appropriate for treatment. Your role is to understand their interests, provide approved general information, build confidence in the practice, and schedule them with the appropriate provider for consultation. TRAINING IS PROVIDED

What Success Looks Like

This role is about more than answering messages.

A successful Appointment Setter understands:

Lead Conversation Relationship Follow-Up Consultation

We are looking for someone who is comfortable hearing:

"I'm just looking."

"I need to think about it."

"How much does it cost?"

"I'll call you back."

...and knows how to professionally continue the conversation rather than simply marking the lead as lost.

Some patients will book immediately. Others may require multiple touchpoints over several weeks.

Your ability to stay organized, follow up consistently, and create genuine conversations will directly impact your success and earning potential.

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time remote position, but flexibility is important.

Leads do not always inquire between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. There may be times when responding to leads during evenings or outside traditional business hours is necessary.

Fast response times can dramatically impact conversion, so candidates must be comfortable managing their workload around lead activity while maintaining appropriate coverage for their assigned practices.

QualificationsRequired
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong phone presence
  • Professional and personable communication style
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working toward measurable performance goals
  • Persistent without being aggressive
  • Ability to manage a large number of conversations simultaneously
  • Strong follow-up skills
  • Comfortable communicating by phone, SMS, email, and CRM
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet and professional remote workspace
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
  • Comfortable being held accountable to conversion and performance metrics
Preferred
  • Previous appointment-setting experience
  • Sales or lead-conversion experience
  • GoHighLevel experience
  • Medical spa or aesthetic industry experience
  • Patient coordination experience
  • Healthcare or wellness experience
  • Inside sales experience
  • Customer service experience

An aesthetics background is not required. Training will be provided.

Performance Expectations

Performance may be measured through KPIs including:

  • Lead response time
  • Contact rate
  • Lead-to-consultation conversion rate
  • Number of consultations scheduled
  • Number of appointments successfully secured
  • Follow-up completion
  • Pipeline management
  • CRM accuracy
  • Appointment quality
  • Communication quality
  • Responsiveness to assigned practices and leadership
Who Will Excel in This Role?

You may be a great fit if you are someone who:

  • Loves talking to people
  • Is naturally persuasive and personable
  • Doesn't get discouraged when someone doesn't respond
  • Enjoys sales and hitting goals
  • Gets satisfaction from turning a "maybe" into a booked appointment
  • Can manage dozens of conversations without losing track of follow-up
  • Understands that "not today" does not necessarily mean "no"
  • Is competitive and motivated by performance-based compensation
  • Wants the opportunity to increase earnings based on results
  • Takes ownership instead of waiting to be reminded what needs follow-up
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
About the Opportunity

You will play a direct role in helping medical aesthetic practices grow by ensuring the leads they invest in are properly managed, nurtured, and converted.

Generating a lead is only the beginning. The opportunity is created when that lead becomes a consultation.

If you are persistent, organized, responsive, great with people, and motivated by the opportunity to earn more based on your performance, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales, appointment setting, inside sales, lead conversion, business development, or another performance-driven sales role
  • Proven experience converting inbound leads or prospects into scheduled appointments, consultations, demos, or sales opportunities
  • Experience working in a sales environment with individual KPIs, quotas, conversion goals, or commission-based compensation
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, including rapport building, needs discovery, objection handling, follow-up, nurturing, and closing for the appointment
  • Experience managing and nurturing a high volume of leads through multiple stages of the sales pipeline
  • Ability to confidently handle common objections involving price, timing, hesitation, comparison shopping, readiness to purchase, and "I need to think about it"
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up with prospects consistently without becoming overly aggressive or transactional
  • Experience communicating and selling through phone, SMS/text, email, and CRM-based communication
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to quickly establish rapport and confidently guide conversations toward a next step
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate naturally and persuasively through text and email
  • Experience using a CRM to document conversations, manage pipelines, schedule follow-ups, track opportunities, and maintain accurate lead statuses
  • Ability to manage 100+ new leads per month in addition to an existing nurture pipeline
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage numerous active conversations simultaneously
  • Comfortable being measured on performance metrics including response time, contact rate, appointment conversion rate, appointments secured, show rate, and follow-up completion
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable with a compensation structure that rewards individual performance and results
  • Willingness to maintain flexible availability when necessary to respond to leads outside traditional 9:00-5:00 business hours
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work environment
Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

  • Medical aesthetics or medspa sales
  • Plastic surgery or cosmetic dermatology
  • Cosmetic dentistry or orthodontics
  • Weight loss, wellness, HRT, or elective healthcare
  • Patient consultation or treatment coordination
  • High-ticket sales
  • Inside sales
  • Appointment setting
  • SDR/BDR positions
  • Automotive BDC or internet sales
  • Real estate inside sales
  • Membership or recurring-service sales

Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL) is strongly preferred; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.

An aesthetic background is a plus but is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with a strong sales mindset, exceptional communication skills, proven lead-conversion ability, and the discipline to consistently follow up.

What We're NOT Looking For

This is not simply a scheduling or customer service position.

We are looking for someone who understands that receiving a lead is the beginning of the sales process-not the end.

The right candidate knows how to take:

Interest Conversation Relationship Follow-Up Consultation

We want someone who doesn't give up after one unanswered text or phone call and doesn't respond to an objection with, "No problem, just let us know when you're ready."

Successful candidates will know how to continue the conversation, uncover what is preventing the prospect from moving forward, create value, and confidently guide qualified leads toward scheduling a consultation.
