Are you an organized and solution-driven construction bookkeeper with 5 years of full-charge accounting experience and a great work ethic? If so, we’d like to talk with you. Our busy company is looking to hire an experienced construction bookkeeper to assist us in managing all financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payables, general ledger journal entries, and payroll. Our ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge of construction accounting best practices and will be proficient with accounting software. Compensation:

$21 - $25 hourly


Responsibilities:

What you’ll do:

  • Enter financial transactions, manage A/P and A/R, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Maintain organized records for expenses, payments, deposits, and other financial activity.
  • Reconcile real estate commissions and support tax reporting
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

What success looks like at 6 months:

  • Accurate, timely month-end close, streamlined commission processes



Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required - an associate’s degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred
  • 5 years of experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
  • Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important
  • Familiarity with construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks

What you bring (must-haves):

  • 3–5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Proficient with QuickBooks and Excel; strong tech skills
  • High professionalism and attention to detail

Nice-to-haves:

  • Real estate commission reconciliation experience
