Job description

Now Hiring a Supervising Pharmacist with an active Connecticut Pharmacist License to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing pharmacy team. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacist ready to take on a leadership position in Connecticut. Full-time Monday through Friday/Flexible full-time hours.

Position Overview

The Supervising Pharmacist (also known as Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge) is responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with Connecticut State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and federal regulations. This role combines clinical excellence, leadership, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with Connecticut pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Oversee prescription dispensing, verification, and quality assurance
  • Maintain accurate records, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide patient counseling and medication therapy management (MTM)
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance accountability
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff
  • Collaborate with prescribers, vendors, and healthcare partners

Required Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut (CT) Pharmacist License – required
  • PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited school
  • Strong knowledge of CT pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
