Job description

JOIN MILWAUKEE ELECTRONICS – OVER 70 YEARS OF INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE

Milwaukee Electronics is a contract electronics manufacturer with over 70 years of experience bringing innovations to life, from prototype to production. We operate as One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond — and we’re looking for people who do the same.

About the Role

Quality doesn’t happen by accident at Milwaukee Electronics — it’s built in from the start. As a Quality Engineer at our Canby, OR facility, you’ll be embedded in the production process, partnering with Engineering, Operations, and our customers to make sure every product meets spec and every process keeps improving. You’ll own quality through NPI, configuration management, and production — leading root cause analysis, supporting supplier quality, and driving the kind of continuous improvement that keeps our customers coming back.

If you’re the type who can read an engineering drawing, run an internal audit, and present findings to a customer all in the same week, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent Quality through NPI, configuration management, and production activities
  • Gather information from Engineering specs and work instructions to verify product conformance
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and conforms to ISO standards
  • Prepare and present customer-specific Quality reports, including on-site and web-based presentations
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
  • Execute inspections and approvals to manufacturing specs, drawings, and performance requirements
  • Perform internal audits of procedures and quality systems
  • Support Supplier Quality activities to ensure receipt of conforming parts
  • Initiate and champion continuous improvement and Lean principles across the organization

What You Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality professional supporting both military and non-military customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, engineering, or management field; or 8+ years of equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations including AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and APQP
  • Proficiency with RCCA, PFMEA, CAPA, and QMS management
  • Practical experience with measuring instruments used in quality inspection
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/statistical analysis applications
  • Must have the legal, permanent right to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of electronic systems, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and subassembly construction
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, and ISO frameworks
  • ASQ CQE or CQM Certification

ITAR Requirement

This position is located within an ITAR-regulated facility. Applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees).

Work Environment

This is a 100% on-site role at our Canby, OR manufacturing facility. You’ll work primarily in a professional office environment with regular presence on the production floor. PPE is required in production areas.

MILWAUKEE ELECTRONICS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or age. If you are an individual with a disability and need a reasonable accommodation in the application or hiring process, please contact Human Resources at 414-228-5000 or hr@milwaukeeelectronics.com.

For more information about our commitment to equal employment opportunity, please see this government poster: Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal | U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (eeoc.gov).

Because this job has access to controlled technology, we must comply with ITAR. Any job offers will be contingent on verification that the candidate is a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum/refugee status in the U.S.) or can otherwise satisfy ITAR compliance requirements. If applicable, if an individual is not a U.S. person, our policy is to not take the extra step of seeking approval from the federal government for that person to work in this position.

Upon hire, the successful candidate must present acceptable proof of identity and current authorization to work in the U.S., as required on Form I-9. We do not provide sponsorship support for employment-based visas such as H-1B.
