Collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and vendors helps resolve technical issues quickly. Staying organized and documenting every step of the process not only streamlines commissioning but also provides valuable records for future maintenance and compliance requirements.

What is a Commission EIT Engineer?

A Commission EIT (Engineer-in-Training) Engineer is an entry-level engineering professional who assists with the commissioning process of systems, equipment, or facilities. Their primary role is to ensure that all engineering systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to operational requirements. These engineers typically work under the supervision of licensed engineers, performing tests, creating documentation, and troubleshooting issues during commissioning projects. The 'EIT' designation indicates they have completed the necessary education and have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, but are not yet fully licensed as Professional Engineers (PE).

How much do commissioning engineers get paid?

Commissioning engineers typically earn between $60,000 and $100,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and industry. Salaries can increase with specialized skills, certifications, and working in high-demand sectors such as energy or manufacturing.

What engineer makes $500,000 a year?
