Job description

Position Summary

The Inventory Associate is responsible for providing department support and coordinating the movement of vehicles throughout the reconditioning process. The successful candidate will understand and utilize the Dealer Management System and ensure vehicles meet company standards. The candidate will have frequent interaction with team members and provide support in all areas of the reconditioning process to include shop support, vehicle branding, inventory, quality control, EMI and administrative duties.

  • Ensures inventory is coded to the correct lot/location in the Dealer Management System, iDMS.
  • Ensures all vehicles are transported to the correct locations.
  • Performs cosmetic inspections and quality control checks.
  • Verifies vehicle meets cosmetic standards.
  • Operates vehicle functions such as radio, windows, A/C controls and lights to ensure mechanical standards are met.
  • Verifies all repairs have been performed on vehicles and ensures there are no check engine, ABS or SRS lights illuminated in the vehicle.
  • Utilizes the photo and pricing software to accurately market inventory that will be sent to lot locations.
  • Photographs each vehicle in inventory to USAuto guidelines and uploads photographs to the dealer website.
  • Ensures all buyer's guides, stickers and branding materials adhere to standards.
  • Opens repair orders and adds labor lines, if needed.
  • Keeps management informed by summarizing information including status updates on vehicle location (i.e. receiving and reconditioning facilities).
  • Assists with the implementation of service and inventory process improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Working knowledge of computers with ability to enter data accurately in system
  • Current State Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail
  • basic automotive knowledge
