Job description

Job Description

We are hiring 4-6 (F/T and Seasonal) CSR's to provide phone support for our website and customers. It pays off to read the entire ad. What do we do? HireAHelper is an online marketplace for moving labor companies.

What the heck is that you say? Well, picture this- You're moving, but your friends are busy, and let's be honest, they helped you move 6 months ago. You can't ask them again, and if you did they'd probably say no or flake on you anyways. You can't lift that king bed by yourself (seemed like a good idea at the time amirite??). You need movers. You don't need people with a truck, you've already got that sorted out. You're using a container or rental truck and just need the dang stuff loaded. BAM. HireAHelper.com! You call us or go online and book moving labor for your local or long distance move. You read reviews, see upfront pricing and what each independent company offers. Easy Peasy. Ok - so the job is this. Everyone needs a little help sometimes.

The position we're hiring for is Customer Service Rep. You'll join our awesome, supportive, motivated team of reps and provide superb customer service to our customers and service providers. You'll be working with a team of 15-20 people and be expected to communicate effectively, both in writing and just plain talking to people.

The pay: If hired you will receive a conditional offer of employment, contingent on completing our 1-2 week training course. If you have at least 1 year of Call Center experience and we hire you, we will pay you a BONUS of $250 at the end of training and AN ADDITIONAL $250 if you stay until the end of September! Starting pay is $11/hour with commissions, with a guarantee of $13+/hr after commission. How do you make these commissions? By helping people book movers over the phone, and you can also earn it by providing support to existing customers. If you work hard and are good at it you can expect to make big bucks, last summer the average commission check was over $400/mo and the highest were over $1,000/mo.

The perks: A friendly and supportive workplace. A relaxed dress code. Breakfast Mondays - every Monday, free breakfast in-office from local food joints.ACH Thursdays. (Anything Can Happen Thursdays.) We have a company event every Thursday. One week we might go to lunch at a favorite restaurant or the farmer's market, the next we might go bowling, or hunting dinosaurs.Donut Fridays: Yah, free breakfast at the start and end of the week, donuts, bagels, burritos. We like to eat, can you tell?Birthdays Off - Free PTO day on your birthday!

What's the catch? No catch - just work hard, do your job and be proactive. We're approachable and easy-going and we'd expect you to be the same way. You'll be working in a stable workplace with routines which are carried out each day. You should be cooperative and a sympathetic listener because sometimes, people just need to vent about their moving experience. That's cool - we're here to help!

Schedule/Availability: 6 days a week (M-Sat) availability. Shifts would either be 6AM- 2:30PM or 9:00 AM- 5:30PM Mon - Sat. There's no option to select which you'd like, but preferences are considered. If you always need a specific day off for class or personal reasons we can usually make that happen. Everyone has to work some weekends, but no one works every weekend unless they want to. This position starts at part time, around 24-30 hours, and moves to full time (40 hours) starting in May-June.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is highly preferred

  • You have a very positive attitude

  • Possess excellent customer service chops and have great communication skills

  • Possess intermediate computer skills and can adapt to new technologies

  • You have strong time management skills and a committed work ethic

  • You learn quickly

  • You're a team player (this is a team)

  • You have good (and quick) decision making skills

  • You're resourceful and have the ability to seek out appropriate points of contact to get all necessary information
