We are expanding our tax professional network and looking for motivated Tax Preparers who want the flexibility to build their own business, grow their client base, and maximize their earning potential.

Position Overview

KAM Financial Group is seeking experienced and motivated Tax Preparers to join our team as independent, commission-based professionals. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with clients, have a strong understanding of tax preparation, and want more control over their income and schedule.

As a Tax Preparer, you will assist individuals and businesses with accurate tax preparation while providing exceptional customer service throughout the filing process. You will have access to professional resources, tools, training, and support designed to help you grow your tax preparation business.

This is a remote, commission-only opportunity with unlimited earning potential based on performance, client volume, and successful tax preparation services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual and business clients
  • Review client financial documents, income records, deductions, and tax-related information
  • Interview clients to gather necessary information and identify applicable credits and deductions
  • Ensure all tax returns are completed accurately and in compliance with current tax regulations
  • Provide professional guidance and answer client questions regarding tax preparation
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information
  • Communicate with clients throughout the tax preparation process
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements
  • Utilize provided tax preparation software, tools, and resources efficiently
  • Maintain organized records and meet tax filing deadlines

Qualifications

  • Previous tax preparation experience preferred
  • Experience preparing individual tax returns (1040) required
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional and dependable with a client-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working remotely using online platforms and digital tools
  • Ability to meet deadlines during tax season
  • Must have strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Tax Preparer, Electronic Return Originator (ERO), Tax Consultant, or Tax Professional
  • Active PTIN and/or EFIN preferred
  • Experience with tax preparation software
  • Existing client base or desire to develop a personal book of business
  • Sales, customer service, or financial services experience is a plus
