Job Description:
The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region's success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region's collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.
The Program/Project Analyst is responsible for providing entry-level professional program administration and basic analysis including gathering, compiling and analyzing data; coordinating project and/or meeting logistics; and facilitating communication. In addition, this employee will provide general administrative support and enhance performance of the Strategic Planning and Quality unit by assisting with social media posts (Facebook and Twitter), blog posts development, website updates and postings, committee meetings setup and support, and project tracking. This role reports to the Program Administrator but will work closely with the Program Project Principal to administer social media, blog posts, and website updates and to provide general administrative and meeting support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Facilitate Lifelong Communities (LLC) program initiatives and technical assistance by engaging existing and new partners; convenes regularly with regional partners, agencies, and organizations to discuss issues relevant to aging and independence; and develop and share resources to support LLCs within their own communities.
โ€ข Implements the Live Beyond Expectations (LBE) Regional Strategic Plan to address greatest social and economic need within lower life expectancy (LLE) census tracts for the 10-county metro area; create power point presentations, write annual reports and policy briefs, perform community engagement and outreach activities, and manage and monitor strategic outcomes.
โ€ข Initiate annual research including survey, focus groups, and interviews; facilitate community engagement listening sessions; oversee the mini-grant program administration (including applying for grants to expand); build relationships with CBOs and stakeholders
โ€ข Assist with deployment of the Age-Friendly Regional Plan via strategy & implementation of goals, objectives, milestones, and outcomes.
โ€ข Support local governments and community organizations in adopting age-friendly practices. Assist with translation of sociological, gerontological, urban studies, and public health scholarship into regional planning guidance.
โ€ข Represents Aging and Independence Services to the general public, internal ARC staff, partners, and stakeholders and responds to inquiries, and participates in various committees, collaboratives, and advisory boards, as appropriate.
โ€ข Maintains and creates content for the website including on pages, forms, calendar events, blog posts, and other site features. Manages social media content and presence. Works with ARC's communication team and consultants to design and disseminate new communications and marketing materials (physical, media, and web-based) related to Empowerline and update website.
โ€ข Assist in coordination of Area Plan on Aging updates including managing quarterly and annual plan submissions, facilitates public hearings, collates public hearing survey feedback, and updates power point presentations for the Advisory Committee on Aging and the Atlanta Regional Commission Board.
โ€ข Complete bi-monthly minutes at Advisory Committee on Aging (ACA) meeting
โ€ข Provide assistance maintaining user access; generating, analyzing and distributing reports; and providing technical assistance to Aging Tech/DDS Database/ePro Support.
โ€ข Perform basic analysis of program information including gathering, compiling and analyzing data for Live Beyond Expectations Strategic Plan and the Age-Friedly Regional Plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Area Plan process, and policy briefs.
โ€ข Update Empowerline with events, calendar activities as well as A&IS social media accounts
โ€ข Provide general administrative support to Strategic Planning and Quality team
โ€ข Meetings support
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, public health, human services, planning, business or public administration or a directly related field and one year of related experience which may include internship experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
