Overview

Job Purpose

The Commission Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration, calculation, reporting, and troubleshooting of company sales compensation programs. The Analyst will support the Fixed Income & Data Services, and Mortgage Technology lines of business. This role works closely with Sales Operations and Corporate Systems teams to ensure accurate and timely commission payments, maintain data integrity, and support ongoing enhancements to compensation processes and systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, research, data analysis, and working with multiple business systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with large datasets, and motivated to develop expertise in sales compensation administration.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to accurately administer commission processes, proactively research and resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvements in sales compensation operations and systems. This role occasionally requires flexibility in working hours, particularly during payroll cycles or when troubleshooting urgent system or commission-related issues. The ability to remain focused under pressure and work through problems until resolution is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Validate sales commissions and incentive payments, including performing manual calculations as needed.
  • Enter and maintain commission payment data within Anaplan.
  • Research and resolve commission-related issues, discrepancies, and inquiries.
  • Manage and process commission support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and excellent internal customer service.
  • Generate and distribute commission and performance reports for sales leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Corporate Systems teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of enhancements within Anaplan.
  • Validate data accuracy between Anaplan, Salesforce CRM, Adobe Sign, and other business systems.
  • Document processes, procedures, and business requirements related to commission administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance when handling compensation and employee performance data.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with sales compensation, commissions, finance, or sales operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to research issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Familiarity with Anaplan, Salesforce CRM, Adobe Sign, or similar business applications.
  • Experience testing systems enhancements and documenting requirements.
  • Knowledge of reporting and data analysis best practices.
  • Exposure to ticket management or support workflows.
