Job description

Job Summary:
Manages, establishes, and oversees the enterprise-wide governance process for pricing of the client balance sheet, including loans and/or deposits. Provides strategic analysis/recommendations for Commercial and Consumer deposit portfolio pricing by product and market through partnerships with the various strategic finance officers and senior management within the lines of business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes, maintains, and enhances an enterprise wide governance process for the pricing of deposits including models, approvals, and analytics.
  • Provides thought leadership on pricing strategy for client balance sheet items including analytics and opportunity identification that lead to recommendations to optimize rate paid, balance growth, and other LOB and bank objectives. Analyzes performance and reports out to senior leaders on a regular basis, and presents findings and recommendations to key business partners.
  • Compiles re-occurring pricing reports and analysis consisting of portfolio balance and interest rate trends and performance by pricing region or market. Reviews competitor pricing and recommends adjustments to strategy.
  • Leads Treasury, Strategic Finance, and line of business partners in pricing committees. Effectively communicates implications or impacts of recommendations, builds buy-in, and incorporates feedback or addresses concerns raised.
  • Acts as primary owner of deposit pricing models within the firm. Works with other Finance partners to ensure alignment and accuracy of all assumptions between various pricing models and the corporate profitability system and training of team members on pricing models.
  • Coordinates with leaders throughout the firm regarding material changes in assumptions that will impact results from the various pricing models.
  • Acts as the primary contact with third party business partners that provide pricing analytics and market analysis.
  • Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports. Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the firm. Works closely with Human Resources regarding employee relations, compensation, training, posting and filling vacant positions and other Human Resources related matters.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Firm authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
