The Mercedes-Benz Commercial Account Manager drives commercial vehicle sales and manages customer accounts for our Mercedes-Benz of Seattle dealership. The role requires an enthusiastic, self-starting sales professional with deep knowledge of commercial vans. Responsibilities blend sales, account management and relationship building to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sprinter sales and profitability - Sell new and pre-owned Sprinter vans and consistently meet or exceed dealership goals. Successful sales consultants positively impact gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction while conducting business ethically and professionally.
  • Use CRM and maintain accurate records - Manage all customer contact through the dealership's CRM system. Keep detailed records of interactions, follow-ups and account status to support effective account management.
  • Build client relationships and understand needs - Develop long-term relationships with commercial van clients. Consult with prospects to determine their needs and present vehicle options that deliver the right payload, upfit and features. Provide vehicle demonstrations and test-drives tailored to each customer.
  • Develop new business - Actively prospect, network and follow up on leads to expand the commercial customer base. Generate new business through outreach calls, online leads and referrals, and educate potential customers on Sprinter models and benefits.
  • Account management and retention - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Stay in close contact with clients after the sale, address issues promptly and follow up on post-delivery items to ensure long-term satisfaction .
  • Market knowledge and strategy - Understand the commercial vehicle market, including industry trends, customer needs and competitor offerings. Analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies to gain market share.
  • Collaboration and compliance - Work closely with service, parts and finance departments to deliver a seamless customer experience. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations that affect commercial vehicle sales. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Swickard Auto Group brand with integrity .

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Experience: 1-2 of previous sales experience, preferably with commercial vans or trucks. Fleet Management or Account Management experience for commercial clients highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills; ability to develop genuine client relationships and understand business fleet requirement.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools; strong computer literacy.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-starter with high energy, strong initiative and a commitment to maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of automotive products and industry trends.
