Legal Search Solutions has partnered with a boutique law firm in Fort Lauderdale to identify a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative boutique practice handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters, with additional exposure to real estate-related disputes. The firm is seeking a versatile legal professional who enjoys balancing substantive litigation work with administrative responsibilities in a close-knit office environment.

Position Overview

The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will work directly with attorneys on a variety of business and commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution. The role includes both billable litigation support and administrative responsibilities, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats while remaining actively involved in case strategy and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of commercial litigation.
  • Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, notices, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
  • Assist with written discovery, document production, and case management.
  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and attorney calendars.
  • Maintain organized case files and monitor litigation deadlines.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and other trial materials.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third-party vendors.
  • Provide administrative support, including file organization, document management, and general office coordination.
  • Assist with litigation involving business disputes and real estate-related matters as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of Florida civil litigation procedures and court deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
