Job description

Position Overview
No Insurance experienced required. Will train a smart, college graduate. The Commercial Insurance Associate assists the Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Account Executive and/or Commercial Lines Risk Advisor by processing changes, renewals, rating, billing and making calls to clients and/or companies as instructed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creating and maintaining an unforgettable client experience
  • Maintain own activity system within EPIC on outstanding endorsements, correspondence, audits, reports, reporting form coverage, claims, and follow up on overdue and suspense items; assist in maintaining expiration control log
  • Maintain EPIC with up-to-date information regarding the clients' current policy coverages (e.g. coverage limits, endorsements, driver/vehicle lists, certificate holders, etc.)
  • Prepare binders, certificates, account summaries (to include premium and loss experience as well as coverage), endorsements, policies, lost policy releases, FR19s, auto identification cards, and account balance statuses when requested
  • Complete review of new and renewal policy checklist provided by ResourcePro for accuracy/verification (if applicable)
  • Process and follow up with clients on cancellation/late notice and reinstatement requests
  • Assist in the reporting of claims for or with clients. Update EPIC with the claim information. Notify Commercial Account Mangers, Account Executive and/or Risk Advisors on large claims or potential suit issues
  • Pull MVRs from ChoicePoint
  • Generate barcodes for client and/or carrier information to be scanned into EPIC
  • Verify EPIC for accuracy of carrier endorsements processed against change request and/or activity and process invoice (if applicable), generate letter, and mail endorsement to client.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all company change procedures
  • Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development
  • Report all malfunctions of EPIC software to Systems Operation Support
  • Perform other duties as requested
