For over 47 years, we have built across Florida in hospitality, multi-family, industrial, healthcare, and public-sector work, with projects ranging from $5M to $160M. THE OPPORTUNITYThe Project Manager III leads HBC's largest and most complex single projects ($30M+), carrying full responsibility for quality, safety, financial performance, schedule, and owner satisfaction while setting the standard for the project team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Project Leadership & Financials

  • Own project success end-to-end and lead a high-performing team.
  • Manage budget, schedule, plans, and specifications in Procore.
  • Read, understand, and administer owner contracts.
  • Deliver monthly cost projections and progress reports (baseline vs. actual, critical path).
  • Review and approve field cost expenditures.
  • Manage PCOs, CORs, change orders, CCAs, ACAs, direct material purchases, bonds, submittals, RFIs, and warranties.
  • Process owner and subcontractor pay applications on time.

Preconstruction & Buyout

  • Partner with preconstruction on estimating, subcontractor participation, value engineering, constructability, and owner proposals.
  • Develop complete trade partner and supplier scopes.
  • Negotiate, create, and process subcontracts and purchase orders.

Schedule, Quality & Safety

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule; uphold safety and quality standards throughout.
  • Aggressively manage the punch list.
  • Coordinate with VDC on clash detection, constructability, and layout/routing.
  • Directly supervise Superintendent(s), APM, Project Administrator, trade partners, and vendors.

Closeout & Client Relationships

  • Follow all company procedures for projectplan, job setup, maintenance, and closeout.
  • Close outthe project financially and update accounting cost reports within30 daysof final inspection.
  • Conduct a warranty walk-through 10 months after substantial completion.
  • Maintain positive communication with the office, owner, architect, and inspectors, and perform warranty-period follow-up, with the goal that every client would build with HBC again and refer us.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant commercial construction experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore.
  • Strong financial acumen, leadership, and owner-facing communication on complex projects.

  • Split between active construction sites and an office environment; on site, may be exposed to weather, heat, noise, dust, fumes, and machinery.
  • Frequently stands, walks, and navigates jobsites including uneven terrain, ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Periodically works at a desk and computer for extended stretches when documenting and reporting.
  • Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, climbs, and balances.
  • Occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries up to 50pounds;regularly up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires full range of motion and dexterity in arms and hands to handle tools, controls, and equipment.
  • Requires close, distance, depth, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to judge distances and read warning signs.
  • Requires the ability to hear warning signals and conversation on an active jobsite.
