Job Summary

We're seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to lead cybersecurity operations, security engineering initiatives, and governance programs across the enterprise. This role combines technical leadership with people management and will play a key role in protecting critical systems, data, and business operations. The ideal candidate brings experience leading security teams, managing enterprise security programs, and partnering with technology and business leaders to reduce risk and strengthen security posture.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cybersecurity engineers and analysts.
  • Drive the organization's cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and security improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee security operations, threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management activities.
  • Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and architecture teams to design and implement secure solutions.
  • Guide the adoption of cloud security, identity security, Zero Trust, and security best practices across the enterprise.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend security controls that align with business objectives.
  • Support compliance efforts related to industry and regulatory requirements, including NIST, PCI, SOX, SOC, and ISO frameworks.
  • Track and communicate security metrics, program status, and risk insights to leadership.
  • Manage cybersecurity projects, priorities, and operational objectives while ensuring effective program execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or information security.
  • 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
  • Experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security, identity and access management, security architecture, and risk management.
  • Experience working with enterprise security platforms, SIEM technologies, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading cloud security or DevSecOps initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Tenable, Qualys, Palo Alto, Cisco Security Solutions, or comparable technologies.
  • Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, and Zero Trust frameworks.
  • Experience managing cross-functional cybersecurity programs.
