We’re looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our Community Habilitation program. As a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work one-on-one with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities, providing support at home and in the community to help them build independence and life skills. This is a flexible, fun, and rewarding role where you can make a direct impact.

One of the great things about the people we support is that they are unique, with the ability to grow, develop, and be empowered. It takes a special person to help provide that opportunity. Just as each individual is unique, so are the staff who support them. If you're ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you on our team!

Cases are in Kingston, Saugerties, Highland, Wallkill, Hurley, Ellenville, Marlboro, Accord, New Paltz. This is a per diem position.

What you will be doing:

  • Teaching new tasks
  • Assisting in the creation and achievement of life goals
  • Planning activities within the community
  • Working independently while collaborating with other team members

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances
  • Attending a week and a half orientation in Red Hook
  • USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available
