Marching Band Positions
2026-2027 School Year
Description: Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants to fill several positions for the Marching Band program during the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Positions Available:
  • Marching Band Director/Band Camp Director
  • Assistant Band Director
  • Color Guard/Winter Guard Director
  • Color Guard/Winter Guard Assistant Director
  • Marching Band Assistants
  • Additional Stipends for Band Camp

Qualifications:
  • Must have valid NJ Teaching Certification or Substitute Certification to apply
  • Must be certified to teach Band
  • Must have experience working with a high school marching band
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Mantoux test
  • Must meet criminal background check for both federal and state as per the Department of Education under NJSA 18A:6-7.2.
  • Must be available to work all days of the program

Location: Fort Lee High School
Salary: In accordance with the current FLEA negotiated agreement. Stipends vary by position. See attachment.
Dates of Program: August 2026 - November 2026
