About the Employer
The Irvine Unified School District comprises a diverse population of more than 36,000 PK-12 students in one early childhood learning center, 24 elementary schools, five K-8 schools, six middle schools, five high schools and one alternative high school. IUSD schools have been nationally recognized for comprehensive programs in academics, the arts, and athletics.
Job Description / Essential Elements:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, provides technical support and guidance to students related to career and college planning, scholarships, testing, financial aid and vocational activities at an assigned high school site; assists students with utilizing career and college center resources; coordinates administration of a variety of tests and exams; performs clerical duties related to college and career program functions and assigned activities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: associate's degree with course work in counseling, career education, human relations or related field and two years increasingly responsible experience in a school, employment, counseling or educational guidance environment.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Valid California Class C Driver License.
