Job description

We are looking for "people who like people;" who want to make a friend along with a customer; who want to do business with integrity; who want each customer of ours to buy two cars -- this one, and the next one.

The Sentry Auto Group is looking for a Sales Consultant at our Shrewsbury Mazda location. Our Sales Consultants are not on a straight 100% commission pay plan - certainly, the more you sell the more you will make, but we offer competitive base compensation and excellent benefits to full time staff members.

If you do not have automotive experience, you ideally would need to have some experience in either sales or retail, as our business encompasses elements of both. Another area where we have had successful sales consultants come from is the restaurant and hotel business. It also helps if you like cars -- you don't need to be a technical expert, but you do need to enjoy learning about cars and sharing what you've learned.

But above all... you have to like people. If your ideal job is to be in a cubicle and keep to yourself all day.... this isn't the job for you.

Recent college graduates also are encouraged to apply. In past years, we have had successful applicants from a number of area colleges and universities, including Northeastern, Quinsigamond, BU, BC, Bentley, Babson, and Stonehill. We promote from within whenever possible and a number of our managers were recent college graduates who hired in as salespeople and were promoted.

We enjoy very high customer satisfaction and repeat business along with a substantial inventory and long-term stable management and ownership.

Responsibilities and Duties

Help customers in all steps of their purchase process.

Communicate clearly internally and externally.

Work hard, be professional and friendly, and sell every customer two cars -- this one, and their next one!

Benefits

· Industry-leading benefits include health & dental, short & long term disability insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan

· Women and men are both encouraged to apply. We are an equal opportunity employer.

· A valid drivers’ license is required.

· Sentry strives to maintain a drug free workplace. All offers of employment contingent on a drug screen for substances illegal in the state of Massachusetts.
