Listening with empathy Acting with compassion Doing the right thing Succeeding through collaboration What You\'ll Do The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts in the Premium Receivables department to reduce the company's Statuary 90 balance. Primary responsibilities include billing, maintaining insured customer accounts, and collection on delinquent accounts. This position offers a hybrid working schedule after an initial training period. Essential Functions: Determine which accounts require reminder letters, delinquent letters, billing statements, calls and/or emails. Verify audit status on policies with past due balances. Review, maintain, and create various reports to ensure all accounts are being managed on a monthly basis, in particular, aged receivable and terminated reports. Manage inbound calls/emails regarding bills, balances, and the collection of past-due balances. Determine which accounts require reporting of noncompliance and assignment to collection agency. Create Write Off and Collections packages for approval. Confirm and update system with Collection Agency\'s account status using portals or reports provided by agencies. Generate and maintain quarterly cash reports providing Collection Agency\'s statistics. Follow up on promises to pay and pay arrangements with the Policyholder. Work with team members to identify account recovery opportunities. We\'re looking for someone that has: a minimum of an associate degree along with relevant work experience or a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, the ability to work independently and organize and prioritize work, exceptional communications and customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, most notably Excel, and a strong attention to detail, along with problem solving and analytical skills. Prior work in a call center and/or collections environment is preferred. At A.I.M.
