What You'll Do:

  • Day-to-Day Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assigns carriers for loads going out to forward warehouse & assigns carriers for interplant backhauls.
  • Schedules appointments for outbound loads.
  • Enters information in Genco system for bills.
  • Communicates with Corp. on short stock.
  • Runs readouts for lines to haul up stock. Substitute's product to ensure that oldest product gets used first.
  • Assist forklift drivers if there is a problem shipping a load out.
  • Checks in & out truck drivers and completes paperwork & seal trailers.
  • Files and makes order copies
  • Assists with usages, shipping orders, cutting orders.
  • Assists with data entry and maintenance functions on the computer system.
  • Responsible for order paperwork and distribute copies to appropriate individuals to help facilitate the shipment going out.
  • Chep pallets- assists in maintaining chep pallet account. Reporting ordering collections. Reject loads
  • Assists Corporate IT with computer programs hardware & Installation of software at the warehouse.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the Managers.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
  • Notify Managers immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

What You'll Bring:

  • Prior experience and or knowledge in the warehouse/transportation/customer service field
  • Strong Microsoft Office skillset
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and managers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratios and percent.
  • Ability to apply solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Through individual and team efforts, enthusiastically work toward the continuous improvement of his/her job, work area, department and Lakeside as a whole.  Fully participate in TAL by "living" Lakeside's Standards of Conduct and being an active member of operational and project teams.  By action and work, clearly and visibly demonstrate the spirit of teamwork, cooperation and respect for others in all business transactions and exchanges.
  • Employee will have the physical activities required in a normal office environment and will be required to operate PC equipment 50% of the time and other business related equipment 50% of the time.
