Manager, Accounts Receivable - Modesto, CA
Job Summary:
The Manager is responsible for the full service 'Order to Cash' system for Deals, Reclamation Receivables and the Company's Speed Program. The Manager is responsible for independently developing and managing appropriate processes to achieve business objectives and ensure the completeness of the collection process. The Manager, Accounts Receivable, works with the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable, to perform month-end exercises, including the sub-ledger close and preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable Aging reports.
Responsibilities:
  • Full Cycle Accounts Receivable for the Company's Speed, Deals and Reclamation programs
  • Order management: Verifying validity of all agreements in these programs
  • Ensuring and monitoring invoice accuracy
  • Ensuring that the Company invoices all receivables earned
  • Payment collection: Ensuring timely collection of payments and AP credits from customers
  • Ensures all deals are submitted to Accounts Receivables in a timely manner by communicating effectively with the Merchandising Team(s)
  • Working with the merchandising groups to ensure all 'deals' are entered into the Company's Demand Tec software.
  • Responsible for the successful collection of receivables
  • Oversees the work of am accounts receivables' supervisor as well as that of the department's accounting clerks
  • Manages staff, to include hiring, training, coaching, counseling, performance appraisals, and discipline, when necessary, in accordance with Labor Relations and Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Supports the Senior Manager of the Accounts Receivable department

  • Ability to effectively utilize financial management tools, information systems methodologies, and techniques
  • Ability to coach, mentor, teach and train others to achieve operational objectives
  • Ability to handle all dealings with respect for utmost confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to perform complex analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under tight time constraints
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control factors
  • Ability to analyze contracts and legal documents to ensure revenue is recorded in accordance with GAAP
  • Excellent analytical, planning and organization/time management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work with people from all departments in the company who have varying degrees of financial/technology knowledge
  • Ability to work independently, setting and maintaining performance goals for self and team members
  • Advanced Excel, Word and query skills and proficiency across ERP systems

Experience: 5 years related experience, 2 years in Management, Leadership and/or supervisory experience
Education: 4 Year/Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline
