Job description

As an Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for daily activities associated with cash application including bank and ledger reconciliation; deduction processing and collection; invoice collection; and resolution of customer accounts.


Job Title: Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collection Specialist
Location: Cincinnati (On-Site)

A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Cash Application and Deduction Management:

  • Daily cash application in Cashbook for US, Canada, and Mexico
  • ย Research short pays and deductions; customer follow up when applicable
  • ย Input necessary claims in B2B claim system
  • Track claims and follow up to ensure credits are issued
  • ย Perform offsets and write-offs in AR to the General Ledger

Collections:

  • ย Collect accounts from assigned portfolio
  • ย Follow up on skipped invoices when applying cash
  • ย Collect invalid deductions/short pays
  • ย Provide document copies/PODโ€™s upon customersโ€™ request

Account Management/Credit:ย 

  • Set up new accounts and perform customer maintenance
  • ย Research new credit applications, analyze credit reports
  • ย Release credit holds for assigned portfolio
  • ย Perform annual file revisions for assigned portfolio

Other Duties:

  • Manage departmental mailboxes
  • Respond to credit inquiries
  • Daily and monthly departmental AR reporting
