Job Type: Remote position based in any of these US cities: Minneapolis, MN;  Denver, CO; Fort Wayne, IN; Grand Rapids, MI. 

Viant is seeking an experienced marketer to lead strategic marketing for our Plastics, Metals, and Assembly portfolios—core pillars of our vertically integrated design and manufacturing platform. This role serves as the business-unit marketing lead, responsible for defining growth strategies, shaping market positioning, and enabling commercial success.

The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing acumen, technical fluency, and commercial insight to drive awareness, preference, and pipeline growth in key medtech markets. The Product Marketer will ensure that all portfolio-level strategies align with and ladder into Viant’s broader enterprise strategy, reinforcing our position as one of the industry’s most trusted design and manufacturing partner.

Key Responsibilities: 

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and own integrated marketing strategies for the Plastics, Metals, and Assembly
  • portfolios—anchored in customer needs, competitive differentiation, and market opportunity.
  • Define and continuously refine value propositions, target segments, and growth priorities in partnership with Business Unit Leaders
  • Translate portfolio strategies into actionable annual marketing plans with measurable objectives, KPIs, and ROI targets.

Technical Marketing

  • Develop technical content and marketing collateral that articulate Viant’s expertise, innovation, and engineering know-how in plastics, metals, and assembly.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create case studies, capability sheets, technical white papers, and proof points
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, operations teams to capture innovation stories, capacity updates, and new capabilities

Commercial Enablement

  • Develop and maintain sales enablement tools—value proposition decks, customer presentations, technical overviews, and proof-point collateral—that strengthen commercial storytelling.
  • Train and equip commercial teams with technical content, success stories, and tools to position Viant’s differentiated capabilities across the buyer journey.

Market Intelligence

  • Lead market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer pain points, and whitespace opportunities within MedTech contract manufacturing.
  • Support technology road mapping, new capability launches, and M&A activities

 

Requirements

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations or related concentration.  MBA preferred  

Experience: 

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience in contract manufacturing, medtech, or industrial sectors.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies (plastics molding, precision metals, assembly, automation, etc.) and their applications in medical devices.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to develop marketing strategies to drive growth objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in technical marketing - communicating differentiation to technical buyers and decision-makers.
  • Storytelling and content development skills, including PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Strong influence and communication skills to work across matrixed teams and functions
  • Agile and proactive; comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and evolving priorities.
  • Ownership and accountability to drive deliverables to completion with excellence.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Power BI)

Travel:

  • Ability to travel frequently within the U.S. (Up to 25%)
