Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist- Labor team is responsible for the development of vetting, negotiating, selecting and assigning 3rd party labor partners to EMC projects. The goal of this position is to provide both internal and external customers with the best quality pricing and timely installation of projects while minimizing EMC costs.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and vet additional regional and national 3rd party lighting installers that meet all required licenses and insurance standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with labor partners.
  • Negotiate with 3rd party labor partners and improve pricing/costs of labor partners to ensure optimal margin results and profitability.
  • Participate in labor partner program by providing input in performance measures, accountability, utilization, incentives, and best practices.
  • Manage escalated issues related to labor partner execution.
  • Create and maintain Intent to Bid documents (ITBs).
  • Create PO's from awarded labor.
  • Accountable for data entry and maintaining Salesforce & Oracle
  • Creation of Request for Quote packages for Labor Partners including SOW, RFQs, Spec Sheets, etc.
  • Manage the filing and storage of the RFQ packages.
  • Maintain labor data in Smartsheets.
  • Gather data and present at yearly Labor Partner Summit
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Expertise in presenting and communicating with labor partners.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, financial management and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel used for tracking and analysis.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple people, prioritize work and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Detail-orientated, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task.


Education:

  • Four-year degree preferred in Business or related degree.


Experience Required:

  • Labor Partner procurement and negotiations.
  • Workload planning for labor partners.


Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:

  • Labor partner (lighting installs, industrial, commercial, retail, others) management, sourcing, negotiating, and licensing experience.
  • 3+ years technical experience to include knowledge on electrical, compliance, and licensing.
  • Oracle or other ERP systems

Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions (include if applicable):

  • The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
  • 10% travel, with some overnights required.
