Job description

Salary: $20.00 to $28.00/hour commensurate with experience and qualifications

We are currently accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician to be based at our office in White River Junction, Vermont.As a Laboratory Technician you will work in the lab and in the fieldperforming construction materials testing on samples of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and other materials associated with a variety of construction projects, and reporting the results.Youll also help maintain and organize the laboratory, visit field projects, and pick up samples from clients and project sites.You will typically workMonday through Friday, with occasional weekend work opportunities based on project needs.

If you have experience with construction materials testing, are looking for an opportunity to work in a team environment, and an opportunity for growth, we train and support our team's professional development and skills by seeking certifications for construction materials testing. You must have prior experience with, and valid certifications and licenses related to construction materials testing required, such as ACI Concrete Testing Grade I, NETTCP, and/or ICC General Requirements and Special inspections. In addition to the companys health, disability, and retirement benefit offerings, we also compensate for travel time to project sites and reimburse mileage if your personal vehicle is used for travel.

You will work with other laboratory and field technicians, interns and managers. The work can be physical at times: you will lift and carry samples and equipment. You may drive to pick up samples at a job site or perform materials testing in the field, however, this would be on an occasional and as-needed basis. We do require a high school diploma or equivalent, and to perform this job you will need to do some basic math and write or type your observations and test results. Safely conducting yourself and the equipment we entrust to you is a must.
