Description
Terraphase is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join our team in our Oakland office.
The Role
  • Conduct environmental site assessments, investigations, and field work.
  • Work on environmental compliance projects including in areas of stormwater, air quality, wastewater, and hazardous waste management.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans and strategies.
  • Prepare permit applications and compliance reports.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex environmental challenges.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Ensure projects adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to project related documents and deliverables such as RI/FS, Phase II ESA, work plans, groundwater monitoring reports, Stormwater management plans, SWPPPs, NPDES compliance documents, etc. Final review will be provided by Technical Lead on the project.
  • Collaborate with CAD, GIS, and database staff on project needs.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior technical staff.

Who You Are
  • B.S. required, M.S. preferred in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE), license in the state of California preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in technical writing and client correspondence.
  • Experienced with preparation of remedial investigation reports, remedial design reports, cost estimating, environmental compliance, and supervision of field implementation of remediation activities, including Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Systems construction quality assurance.
  • Experienced in analysis, evaluation, presentation, and interpretation of geologic, hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data obtained during field investigations.
  • Confident in working at environmentally impacted field sites and committed to being a proactive participant in health & safety culture.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, organizational, technical writing, and client service skills.

Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location.
Pay Range
$90,000-$105,000 USD
