Dedicated team is seeking experienced Form Setter/Carpenter!
WHAT WE DO

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
CARPENTER
  • Taking ownership of Rusin's "Core Values."
  • Working with a team!
  • Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings.
  • Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
  • Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
  • Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand/power trowel, hand/power screed and float.
  • Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process.
  • Produce rough concrete surface using a broom.
  • Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge.
  • Clean chipped area, using wire brush and feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven.
  • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete and waterproof or restore surface.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION
  • One year of concrete experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year general construction experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
  • May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.
  • Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.
