Lead the Charge in Manufacturing Excellence and Join Us as a Header Operator
Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a Header Operator to join our team as a key role in the manufacturing process. In this hands-on-position you will be responsible for the set up and operation of the header machines and auxiliary equipment to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics. We will train if you can pass a measurement assessment screening.
Responsibilities
Responsible for set up and operation of the header machines and auxiliary equipment to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics.
  • Perform daily maintenance on header machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform quality checks and document (where applicable), using simple gauges, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
  • Synchronize machine actions for various operations on each customized job.
  • Perform checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment).
  • Use proper Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Manually handle parts from work-in-process containers to shipping containers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Clean equipment and keep work area neat and orderly.
  • Participate as a Trainer when necessary.
  • Work in any other area of the plant by the request of your supervisor and/or manager.
  • Strong note taking skills

Safety:
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment.
  • Regularly review the equipment or machinery in use to ensure that safety mechanisms or other safety features are working properly.
  • Report safety hazards to supervisors or other managers immediately.

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication:
  • Must take initiative and be available to work where needed.
  • Must be organized and able to file work-order documents.
  • Must communicate and work well with all other employees in the facility.

Physical requirements:
  • This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs.
  • This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours).

All positions require passing a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check.
Shift: M-F, 6am - 2:30pm
