Job description

Coffee County Emergency Medical Services- Director

The Coffee County Emergency Medical Services has an opening for Director. This position will work under the supervision of the Coffee County Ambulance Authority. The EMS Director is responsible for planning and overseeing all activities of the EMS Department and EMS Staff.

Manage EMS Department

Public Relations

  • Performs a variety of public relations duties to enhance the image of the EMS Department and to inform the County Administration and agencies and the general public regarding emergency medical service projects and activities.
  • Researches laws pertaining to fair debt Collection, HIPAA and related EMS issues.

Performs supervisory duties

  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned personnel, handling employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance evaluations.

Qualifications required for the position are as follows

The required knowledge, skill, and abilities to satisfactorily perform the job duties are acquired through One year certificate from college or technical school plus six years of 911(critical patient) EMS experience, including three years of supervisory experience.
