Job description

Job Description
Operates  equipment and performs jobs as needed for day to day operations of the County Landfill.    Assigned to the County Landfill to work under the supervision of the Landfill Manager and Landfill Foreman.  Should also be able to perform duties as needed unsupervised.    Notifies supervisor of mechanical and safety problems. Performs routine manual labor as required. The principal duties of this position are performed in a landfill environment.   Follow directions of the Landfill Manager and Foreman.  Assist in regular required preventative maintenance as needed.
Job Qualifications

Demonstrates experience operating equipment and a valid Alabama Drivers License required. .

Ability to understand and follow oral or written policies and instructions.

Knowledge of basic equipment preventative maintenance.

Ability to communicate with others.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.  Coffee County is a drug free workplace.


Additional Information
5 ten hour work days per week.   10 hours overtime weekly.  Fringe Benefits include paid vacation holidays health insurance life insurance and state retirement. Coffee County is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace.
