Job Description Corrections Deputy is an entry level position with the Coffee County Jail. Corrections Deputies are responsible for the care custody and control of individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in a jail or prison. Corrections Deputies enforce rules and regulations of the Coffee County Jail while maintaining the safety and security of the facility.
Job Domains
Job Duties Include
• Supervise activities of inmates
• Enforce rules and keep order within the jail
• Search inmates for contraband items
• Process arrested individuals in/out of the jail
• Patrol cell blocks and keep track of inmate locations
Job Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver's license
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
