Job description

This is a FT position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Completes required number of guard tours/patrols inside and outside campus.
  • Effectively monitors patients who are determined to be a threat to themselves or others.
  • Provides Forensic Education to corrections and law enforcement personnel, when appropriate.
  • Monitors property for solicitors, vagrants and persons in unauthorized areas.
  • Effectively responds to hospital codes.
  • Enforces hospital parking regulations and issues parking reminders as required.
  • Reports safety concerns, dangers, hazards, etc, as required.
  • Completes required reports, logs and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assists with maintaining Lost and Found log, logging and returning property, as necessary.
  • All other job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Valid Driverโ€™s Licensure amp; clean driving record
  • Tennessee State certified and possess current security license required; or obtained within 6 months of hire date
  • Current CPR (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
  • Current CPI/De-escalation training (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Experience in security or law enforcement field preferred. Two years of related work experience preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with persons of various cultural and economic backgrounds required.
  • Possesses minimum computer skills; Familiar with Microsoft programs
