Position: Residential Aid
Location: Beaverton Recovery Center, Washington County

Our new Beaverton Recovery Center is designed to be a trauma-informed and patient-centered residential environment where individuals begin or continue their journey toward recovery. CODA’s mission is to treat every individual with compassion, dignity, and evidence-based care—and our Residential Aids are vital to making that mission a reality.

About the Role:

As a Residential Aid, you’ll be responsible for supporting a safe, secure, and therapeutic living environment for patients engaged in recovery services. You’ll monitor patient activity, provide transportation and documentation support, maintain order and cleanliness in the facility, and play a key role in establishing a respectful and stable treatment community. This is a hands-on, people-focused role for those who want to contribute directly to patients’ healing and stability.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain a structured and supportive environment by monitoring patient behavior and location
  • Respond to medical needs and emergencies per CODA’s site procedures
  • Conduct room, property, and safety checks to ensure a contraband-free environment
  • Assist with patient check-ins, daily routines, medication administration, and UA collections
  • Drive patients to recovery-related appointments (if an approved driver)
  • Support documentation and log entries within the electronic medical record
  • Serve as a professional, trauma-informed role model for residents
  • Assist with household cleaning, phone answering, filing, and shift change reports
  • Help facilitate community meetings and group outings
  • Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries with all patients
  • Support children and families, where applicable, in family-oriented programs

Available shifts:

Residential Float, Night Shift (Part-Time)

    • Monday, 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM ADST 26

What You Will Bring:

  • Preferred: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: At least 6 months of education, training, or experience in addictions treatment
  • Preferred: 1 year of work experience in a residential, clinical, or medical team setting
  • Strong emotional composure and ability to maintain safety in high-risk situations
  • Professional communication, teamwork, and reliability
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality, trauma sensitivity, and respect
  • Ability to work in a structured environment while remaining flexible and empathetic
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate electronic medical records

What We Offer:

  • A Mission with Meaning: Contribute directly to recovery journeys every day
  • Training & Development: Learn valuable skills in behavioral health, safety, and documentation
  • Supportive Culture: Join a team rooted in CODA’s values—collaboration, compassion, courage, respect, and vision
  • Growth Opportunities: Build experience in a setting that opens doors to clinical, counseling, or administrative paths within the organization
