Work days/Shift Hours – if applicable: Monday - Friday / 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Compensation:  Starting pay ranges based on experience.  Additional earning opportunities may include performance-based incentives, quarterly bonuses, referral bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. 

General Purpose

The Supervisor, Production Maintenance Sparking is responsible for first line supervision for mechanics and electricians who maintain equipment within the production facility. The Supervisor, Production Maintenance Manufacturing assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work.  

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Staff, train, supervise, evaluate and develop team members. 
  • Maintain equipment to ensure line efficiencies, improve key performance indicators and to eliminate down time. 
  • Supervise the service and repair equipment on a continual basis, adhering to established preventative maintenance schedule. Create, plan and execute preventative maintenance programs.  
  • Manage physical safety and evacuation plans. Ensure working conditions are safe at all times. Responds to daily calls related to manufacturing operations. 
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, taking action based on findings. 
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Safety policies and standards, ensuring proper attire and PPE are worn. Responsible for enforcing all company policies, regulations and holding regular safety meetings to communicate safety awareness and policies. 
  • Manage within labor and OPEX budget. 
  • Maintain an accurate parts inventory at all times. 
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing practices and safety standards. 
  • Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with other functions as needed to resolve difficult issues. 
  • Works with outside vendors to submit and maintain contracts for cleaning, grounds keeping, emergency response teams, security systems, pest control and other facility functions.  
  • Oversee repairs of equipment, hazmat, fire safety and refurbishment tasks performed by outside vendors. Ensuring they are completed as scheduled and to high standards. 
  • Disaster recovery preparation, practice and execution.     
  • Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Internal Audit, Employee Services, Human Resources, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with other functions as needed to resolve difficult issues  
  • Flex work schedule to meet the business demands 
  • Participation in project work and initiatives as assigned.  
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. 
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience of manufacturing equipment related experience required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.  Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment and high-speed production equipment. Must be proficient in all MS Office application.
