Job description

  • Co-op is responsible for assisting the Sr. Reliability Engineer in data collection and reporting for thermal performance analysis and identifying equipment reliability issue trends.
  • May assist with project to determine equipment failures and performance root cause analysis.
  • Work directly with the Sr. Reliability Engineer on power plant performance and equipment issues and project development which includes traveling to facilities across Georgia.
  • Will compile data, complete trending analysis and support publishing report results and presentations.
  • This role will provide an opportunity to gain experience and expand real-world knowledge in the power generation industry utilizing gas turbines and steam turbines technologies in simple-cycle and combined-cycle configurations.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial plant, climb stairs and ladder with appropriate supervision and safety training will be provided.
  • Responsibilities will include interaction, communication, and collaboration with plant technician, engineers, and management.
  • The potential for additional rotations in field engineering, project/outage management, and plant operations & maintenance are other future areas targeted for this co-op position.
