CNO Financial Group's IT Team is hiring a Sr. Solution Architect to design solution and integration architectures based on business requirements across a diverse application portfolio. With primary responsibility for integration architecture using Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory, this role will lead a new SaaS implementation for corporate finance and financial planning, serving as the primary architectural partner to vendors to define and govern the overall solution.

This is your opportunity to provide technical leadership, feasibility analysis, and oversight for complex initiatives, lead project delivery across technologies, and ensure successful and seamless integrations.

As a Sr. Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing logical solution architecture for applications, integrations, and components to successfully deliver projects and meet business goals under limited direction.

  • Designing solutions across a broad and diverse application landscape based on defined business requirements.

  • Providing technical oversight for projects, including reviewing development team designs and coordinating across technical teams.

  • Partnering with business and delivery stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Ensuring adherence to CNO architecture standards and best practices.

  • Collaborating frequently with IT disciplines including analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Developing high-level estimates for complex initiatives, including those with incomplete or evolving requirements.

  • Prototyping and evaluating new technologies to inform architectural decisions.

  • Producing high-quality architecture designs and supporting documentation.

  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

The Sr. Solution Architect position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have a strong understanding and knowledge base of architecture and solutioning principles/practices.

  • Can solve complex technical problems through methodical thinking, planning and overcoming obstacles.

  • Are a strong and effective communicator and can discuss complex problems across both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Have a strong understanding of the current technology landscape, including a diverse set of applications and solution patterns.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Typically requires a minimum of five to seven years of related technical experience, with increasing responsibility.

  • Demonstrated experience on project teams building large enterprise, mission critical systems and clearly articulating complex solutions to senior management and stakeholders.

What will set you apart:

  • Time as a technical lead/lead programmer is a plus; familiarity with Python.

  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred) and Unix environments.

  • Proven teamoriented mindset, with experience collaborating effectively across technical and business teams to drive solutions forward.

  • Prior experience leading solution and integration architecture across Azure platforms, including Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.

Pay Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00 Annual
