Job description

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for setup and operating CNC production machines to manufacture parts to meet customer orders. The CNC Setup Operator will prepare machines for production runs, ensure proper tooling and offsets, and monitor performance to maintain quality and efficiency. We offer a competitive shift differential for applicable schedules, along with overtime opportunities based on business needs.
Job Duties:
  • Set up CNC machines, including installing tooling, fixtures, and materials for production.
  • Operate CNC production equipment to meet customer orders and production goals.
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, material specifications, drawings, surface locations, and machining parameters; interpreting dimensions and tolerances.
  • Adjust machine offsets, speeds, and feeds to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and make minor adjustments to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain production equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic math

Education and Experience:
