JOB TITLE: CNC Manufacturing Director
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Manufacturing Director is responsible for directing and coordinating all CNC machining and manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production while meeting customer, quality, safety, and financial objectives. This role collaborates closely with engineering, quality, and product development to produce high-quality products efficiently. The Director will collaborate with executive leadership to support business planning, capacity forecasting, and organizational development.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • 5 or more years of proven experience as Manufacturing Director or equivalent position
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • 5 or more years of experience with precision tolerances and GD&T
  • 5 or more years of proven experience working with data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • 5 or more years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including management of CNC machining operations.
  • 5 or more years of experience with programming, set-ups, cutting tools & fixture design
  • 5 or more years of experience with Machining Process Planning
  • BS/BA in manufacturing engineering or relevant field required

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, customer service, etc.)
  • Expertise with MS Office and various business software is required (e.g. ERP, MRP)
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines

CORE DUTIES
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and growth objectives.
  • Drive the company to achieve revenue and profitability through proper execution of the master production schedule.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and project management to lead new product launches from concept to full-scale production.
  • Establish operational metrics, performance targets, and improvement plans to drive productivity, quality, delivery, and profitability.
  • Work with executive leadership on capital equipment planning, facility improvements, automation initiatives, and technology investments.
  • Direct all CNC machining operations, including milling, turning, multi-axis machining, and secondary processes.
  • Manage and oversee operational departments such as inventory control, sales, purchasing, and compliance.
  • Oversee product flow (including external processes) and implement/document new processes as required to improve efficiency and to support growth in new product lines.
  • Optimize machine utilization, labor efficiency, workflow, and capacity.
  • Lead a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing manufacturing leaders and technical personnel while fostering employee engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.

HOURS
  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
